From Isolation to Innovation: The Journey Behind NuLYFE

For over 15 years, I lived in Toronto—self-employed in media, producing content for brands, startups, and corporations. It was fast-paced, creatively stimulating… and incredibly isolating. Like many independent professionals, I found myself constantly juggling client demands, working alone from home or cafés, and wondering if there was more to “success” than just staying busy.
Then came the shift.
A soul-searching journey abroad took me across continents—from Los Angeles to Cape Town, Amsterdam to the Mediterranean—and into the heart of something unexpected: shared living. In the middle of global chaos during COVID, I began to connect online with thinkers, builders, and founders across the world who were reimagining how people live, work, and thrive together. It lit a fire.
Through a mix of digital networking and on-the-ground experience, I found myself managing co-living and co-working spaces for startups, creators, and global teams. These weren’t just rentals or hotels—they were ecosystems of support, creativity, and belonging. And the impact was real: improved mental health, stronger collaborations, and a deeper sense of purpose for everyone involved.
That was the spark that became NuLYFE.
This business isn’t just a venture—it’s personal. It's a response to the loneliness and fragmentation I once lived through.
